Air media server mac8/26/2023 Older versions of Mac OS X and VLC media player The last version is 3.0.4 and can be found here. Support for NPAPI plugins was removed from all modern web browsers, so VLC's plugin is no longer maintained. You can also choose to install a Universal Binary. If you need help in finding the correct package matching your Mac's processor architecture, please see this official support document by Apple. Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported. Previous devices are supported by older releases. It runs on any Mac with a 64-bit Intel processor or an Apple Silicon chip. It is not like everyone can afford to purchase the latest and the greatest when it comes to iMacs.VLC media player requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. Quite frankly, I think it is bad business for them to have dropped support for pre-M1 iMacs. I hope that the developer will reconsider, and will make their app available for pre-M1 chip iMacs. While I have version 2.3.4 on my iPhone, I am disappointed that I cannot run the most recent version of the server on my iMac. There is no reason why it should not be able to run version 2.3.4 of Air Video Server HD for Mac. It currently runs Big Sur 11.2.3 with ease. For the record, my computer is an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) with a 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 processor, and 32 GB of memory. So I wrote to the developer a second time and asked them why they had dropped support for pre-M1 chip iMacs?. Then I noticed this in the info section: "Requires macOS 11 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip." Of course, I wanted to download it, in the hope that the newer version would allow me to use. Well, today I revisited their app in the App Store, and I saw that the server had been updated to version 2.3.4 - I am currently on 2.3.0-beta1u1 - about a year ago. If so, I don't know what that is, because they never responded to me. Either that, or there is something I need to do to make the iOS app aware of. Today, two years later, I have written to them again, asking them the same question, being as they apparently still have not added. At any rate, back then, in October of 2019, I wrote to the developer at and I asked them why their app does not seem to support. I have been using the app - iMac server and iOS client app - since at least October of 2019, and possibly before that. Well, after all this time, I have to register some disappointment with Air Video Server HD. An all-new look and feel, icon and playback UI designed from the ground up, along with new features such as minimized playback, a new grid mode & improved landscape support. Videos stream faster and more reliably than ever before, with flawless support for H.264 passthrough, full 1080p HD, soft subtitles and 5.1 surround sound through Apple TV.
